Anybody know where I can find makers marks for pottery character jugs online?
I have a character jug designed in the likeness of Uncle Sam. Trying to find more information on it, but struggling with makers mark.
Stamp on base is smudged, but I am able to make out STERLING, bordered in bold lines with a crown above. Below the base line is written Made in England (I think). Anyone know about this mark? Or where I can find more information?
